Is Anyone Watching?

I always say "Do your art like no one's watching".  Easier said than done for some.

Tomorrow is JMR's 1st Annual Plein Air Day where Ontario Artists have been invited to create outside - where everyone is watching!  Some artists enjoy an audience, some love to put on a show, describe every step, every inpiration, every colour.  I am not one of those artists.  I enjoy my alone time with my glass, making mistakes, learning from them, moving on, and actually having no one watching.  I am finding there are many other artists who feel the same way.  For those who are comfortable creating with someone watching, we welcome you tomorrow.  For those who are not comfortable with someone watching we also welcome you.  Feel free to find that perfect spot in Bayfield away from the crowds or try something new and create in front of our visitors.  Paint, sketch, take photos, take notes, doodle, write a poem - the opportunity to create is endless.

For both types of artists, tomorrow will be a day filled with creativity, inspiration, fun and the discovery of beautiful Bayfield.

I have arranged a reduced price for the walking tour with the Historical Society.  I thought this would give you a great foundation and background for some of your artwork.
The Spa-in-Bayfield support the arts and JMR Gallery and is offering the reduced rate, I thought this would be a nice 'centring' experience for your day.
